Dynatek Two Stage
Retard/Advance Module
Description
The DYNATEK TSRAM Module is an accessory for use with the DYNA 4000 Pro
Ignition System. The Two Stage Retard/Advance Module (TSRAM) provides
two independently adjustable ignition retard or advance stages that can
be activated during a run. You actually end up with three timing
settings available: The static pickup and two stages of retard/advance.
This Module can be set up to 2 or 4 cylinder mode and can be set to
progressively advance or progressively retard the pickup signal. Each
stage is adjustable from 2 to 20 degrees in 2-degree increments in a
time frame of 0 to 4 seconds in .25-second increments. Each stage is
activated be applying a 12 volt signal to the trigger input
corresponding to each stage. The 12-volt trigger signal can be
generated in many ways. Several suggested ways of activating stages are
listed below:
Use the 12-volt power to nitrous solenoids to activate retard when
nitrous solenoids are energized.
1.
Use boost switch(es) to activate retard/advance when boost goes
above a present level.
2.
Use a timer to activate retard/advance after a present delay.
3.
Use a DYNA Shift Counter to activate retard/advance in certain
gears.
4.
Use an rpm activated switch (DYNA Shift Minder) to activate
retard/advance above a preset rpm.
5.
Use a toggle switch to manually activate retard/advance.
